Job description This position reports to the VP of Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting. Resource for companys global business and finance communities to help individuals make informed business decisions. Assist management in the structuring of transactions while transactions are still forming. Resource for global accounting community of over 1000 accountants on technical accounting matters. Decipher, digest, and summarize draft and new accounting pronouncements. Provide "headlights" to companys global business, finance, and accounting communities on new accounting rules and SEC direction. Formulate responses to accounting rule-making bodies regard- ing proposed accounting and reporting rules; Launch new proactive accounting and education programs within company; Participate in various special projects regarding large complex, one-time transactions.
