Oracle Professionals: Tech Developers, DBA, Functional users /
BRUSSELS

Our client, an international leader in Information Management,
Information Technology has just secured a multiyear contract with an
international client, they have a variety of positions that require
the services of highly skilled Oracle Consultants/experts. These
positions include Technical Developers, Database Administrators, and
Functional users/Power Users. Applicants should be willing and ready
to relocate to Brussels on 2-3 year assignment and have demonstrated
experience in one of the following three job descriptions as defined
below.
Technical Developers:
Demonstrated Expertise:
In public sector and/or international public sector
With a minimum of 5 years experience in the Oracle eBusiness Suite
With knowledge of the Oracle eBusiness Suite 11.0.3 and 11.5.10
With the use of SQL, PLSQL, C++
With Oracle Workflow, Tools and Developer
With the experience of working with Oracle Discoverer, FSG, and ADI
Of a detailed understanding of the underlying table structures of the
Oracle eBusiness Suite and the implications of proposed changes
In working with a software development methodology and with a full
software implementation life cycle on at least two projects
In being able to provide documentation of the work that is done
Database Administrators:
Demonstrated Expertise:
In public sector and/or international public sector
With installing, maintaining, and performing DBA activities on
multiple architectures within Oracle Applications, including the
11.0.3 architecture
With multi-tier Oracle eBusiness Suite architecture
In configuring, sizing, and tuning Oracle database applications
Understanding how the code supporting Oracle Applications is
structured and developed
Understanding packages, procedures, and cartridges
In managing concurrent managers that support the background operations
of Oracle Applications
With UNIX and NT in script development
With scheduling "behind the scenes" processes to monitor the database
and quickly identify problems before users know about them
In being fully aware of the functional and technical architecture and
integration of Oracle Applications
With cloning the Oracle data base
Functional User/Power Users:
Demonstrated Expertise:
In public sector and/or international public sector budgeting and
accounting
In budgetary control and encumbrance accounting within the Oracle
eBusiness suite
With Oracle Application Desktop Integrator (ADI)
With a generic ERP compatible travel module and its integration to the
Oracle eBusiness Suite
With the integration aspects of Oracle Applications, including
functional and technical perspectives
With year-end processes where revaluations are done, and an
understanding of the setup and accounting issues related to
revaluations
On at least two full life cycle Oracle eBusiness Suite implementations
With a second or third level help desk support position
With Remedy or another help desk ticket system
The ability to apply knowledge and best practices to support the
Oracle user community
In coordinating problem resolution by working as a team player with
functional and technical resources
Providing functional application support in a production environment
and during enhancement and upgrade projects
Performing and coordinating testing of new releases, patches, or
disaster recovery validation
Maintaining strong internal-consulting relationships with system
administrators and end-users
Module Specific Requirements

General Ledger
Accounts Payable
Purchasing
Accounts Receivable
Cash Management
Fixed Assets
All applicants must hold a valid Canadian Goverment "Secret" Security
Clearance
