Objectives
• To maintain current products and build the next generation of
capabilities into our .NET-based e-Commerce platform and accelerator
products
• Receiving technical and architectural direction from the development
lead, you will work with the program manager to establish project
milestones, which you will be responsible for meeting
• To deliver high-quality and efficient code as well as manage your
time in order to meet the set deliverables
Responsibilities
• Seeks out customer feedback by means of PSS and other channels to
clarify features and write test cases
• Clarifies how features should work to eliminate ambiguous
requirements
• Costs, schedules, and prioritizes his/her work and makes appropriate
compromise decisions
• Writes and uses regression tests
• Uses test automation tools independently
• Analyzes patterns of defects for his/her features
• Prioritizes bugs for his/her features
• Develops compelling and grounded customer cases for fixing critical
bugs
• Takes responsibility for all tasks related to his/her features
• Resolves customer issues through PSS and other channels
• Proactively reviews his/her test plans with other disciplines for
completeness
• Demonstrates ad hoc testing skills
• Develops test cases for specific features
• Meets standards for bug turnarounds
• Participates in the interview process
Skills
• Ability to review product, feature, and component requirements and
specs, analyze and raise requirement and design issues
• Must have a deep understanding of QA processes and a proven ability
to determine proper testing needs, write test design specs, develop
and document automated test cases, covering your area of the product
thoroughly and ensuring bugs are identified and fixed
• A detail-oriented self-starter with a proactive stance in problem-
solving, good investigation skills, and a desire to make a positive
change in the product
• Must be able to grasp multiple areas of testing and be capable of
improving processes
• Highly organized and energetic team player
Technological Knowledge
• Working knowledge of C#, the CLR, Visual Studio .NET, and the .NET
Framework
• Experience with setting-up and working-with/testing enterprise
server-class systems and product environments, Windows Server 2003,
redundancy and load balancing, state-of-the-art storage systems, and
multi-tiered topologies
• Working level experience with two or more of the following:
• C++, Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, COM+ design/development, ADO,
Windows API programming and debugging skills
• T-SQL, C++, COM+/ATL, ASP.NET 2.0+, Web services, and transaction
• Performance/Stress testing
• Internet and Intranet application and server testing
• Internet Security technologies
• Globalization and Localization testing
• Microsoft IIS
• Experience testing on 32-bit and 64-bit systems
Highly Desirable Technology Knowledge
• Broad product technology experience including web and enterprise
server software, embedded software, and shrink-wrapped Windows
applications
• Knowledge of e-Commerce concepts (i.e.: B2B and B2C).
• Microsoft BizTalk server
• Microsoft SQL Server, including knowledge of the SQL language and
administrative features of SQL
• Microsoft Commerce Server
• Internet protocols such as HTTP, XML, SOAP
• EDI
Education and Experience
• A minimum of 3 years (for Intermediate) or 5 years (for Senior) of
demonstrated accomplishment in software design and development,
preferably in the Information Technology industry
• A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience is
required
