The Market Research Manager is the project lead for market research / competitive intelligence endeavors focusing on in-line products, life-cycle management, compounds in development, and business development. This position works closely with the Director of Market Research, Brand Teams and the Product Development group by analyzing primary and secondary information to support informed decision making. The Market Research Manager executes research projects using both quantitative and qualitative methods as well as standard competitive intelligence tools. To be successful, this individual must be able to synthesize primary and secondary information along with published information to identify market landscapes. Key expectations are to identify and articulate key business trends, issues and opportunities and make factually supported recommendations to key stakeholders within GWPI.

Responsibilities:

* Partners with product teams to manage brand planning and tracking activities. * Performs lead role in primary market research projects and on-going data gathering, synthesis, analysis and presentation (oral and written). * Reports market trends, anticipates future changes in the market, and identifies competitive threats and opportunities within the given therapeutic categories. * o Includes projects that measure sales force and marketing implementation as well as strategic research. * o Lead competitive intelligence initiatives for the market research team * o Provide continual support the brand teams in setting marketing objectives. * Maintains strict confidentiality with all matters. * Working additional hours are occasionally required. * Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Qualifications:

Knowledge * 1. 5+ years pharmaceutical market research experience. Other pertinent experience will be considered. * 2. Possesses a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including the marketing, sales, trade and regulatory processes. * 3. Highly proficient in MS Office and industry data sources including WK, Verispan and IMS * 4. Dermatology, Womens Health or Oncology category experience are a plus. Skills * 1. BS / BA required. * 2. Demonstrated analytical skills. * 3. Strong communication and presentation skills. * 4. Ability to independently prioritize workload, all with minimal supervision required. Proactive skills are important. * 5. High degree of self-motivation, accuracy, ability to exercise judgment and attention to detail required. * 6. Ability to implement projects quickly and effectively. Physical Requirements * 1. No travel restrictions * 2. No physical limitations which would prevent performing required job functions.
