Project Mechanical Engineer- Vandalia, IL area

Manufacturer of coatings, adhesive, rubber and plastic products need
versatile engineer to work ongoing multiple capital projects for
200,000 sqft plant.

Duties:
· Define, interpret and translate project and process requirements to
determine required specifications for design, process equipment and
systems manufacturing.
· Equipment and processes will include mixers, calendaring,
extrusion, web handling and presses.
· Will design new rubber production and process equipment for new
plants and expansions and re-design for existing plant improvements.
· Will coordinate designs and projects for utility equipment such as
compressors, chillers, boilers, etc.
· Will coordinate outside vendor project activity to meet project
timelines and production schedules.
· Will interact with various plant personnel to include management,
engineering and operators.
· Will work with operational codes: NEC, NFC, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.

Requirements:
· 4 year degree: BSME, BS CHEM ENG, BSEE, BSIE, BSIT or BSMET
· Max of 10-15 total engineering experience. Promotable type.
· 3-10 yrs of equipment design experience using AUTOCAD or similar
software.
· Experience with production, process and utility equipment as
mentioned above.
· Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical project experience
· Ladder logic and kinematic experience desired.
· Experience with vendor coordination.
· Computer skills: MS Word, MS Project & MS Excel
· Must have strong interaction skills where listening is a strength
and the flexibility not to "over engineer" a project. (Simplify
solutions)
· Team leader and player who is self-directed.
