This position will be located in Honeywell’s Tucson, Arizona
Facility.


Description:
This Senior Project Engineer Multi will be responsible for the
management of projects related to Auxiliary Power Unit (APU),
Propulsion, Cabin Pressure, Activation Controls and Phase Six
(production support), located in Tucson, Arizona. Specifically, this
person will be responsible and accountable for the planning,
development, and implementation of a large program to fulfill contract
and business requirements within approved budgeted cost and schedule
constraints. This position will be responsible for the budgeting and
financial success of electronic controls product line business. The
Senior Project Engineer Multi will direct others in the planning
process, while leading strategic business planning activities for a
large, complex development program. This job will be expected to be
able to recognize pertinent information regarding program profitability
using financial analysis capabilities and act on new business
opportunities. This individual will communicate program status to the
key stakeholders of the program and also lead the program pursuit
strategies, strategic planning and proposal pricing activities for the
engine control development programs. Also, this person will maintain
necessary channels of communication, assuring total customer and
Product Line awareness including key elements such as customer
relations and timely recognition and resolution of customer problems.





Qualifications:
• BS degree in mechanical engineering, software engineering or other
engineering related fields. Advanced degree is preferred but not
required.
• At least sixteen years of leading a large development team and five
years experience in building and leading cross functional teams.
• Experience in cross functional team leadership and complex product
development programs incorporating all functional disciplines for
successful execution.
• Must posses a complete understanding of the business measurement
tools used to asses program wellbeing and financial status.
• PMP Certification preferred and ideal candidate will have a
familiarity with SAP.
• Greenbelt/Blackbelt Certification, along with DFSS Certification
are desired.
• Must be able to communicate effectively to customers, team members
and also to key stakeholders
