Our client is looking for a strong Procurement Business Solutions
Manager to help in their companywide Oracle implementation. In this
capacity the Business Solutions Manager - Procurement will act as a
domain expert for Procurement and Strategic Sourcing processes and
their related standard software solutions (i.e. Oracle, I2, Ariba).
The primary responsibilities of the Business Solutions Manager are to
develop standards and best practices for implementing the standard
solutions and to provide direct support to division project teams as
they go through their implementations. It is expected that the
Business Solutions Manager will participate most heavily during the
Gap Analysis and Design phases of the project as well as provide as-
needed support during the Build and Post-Go-Live phases.
Position is a non-consulting, fulltime opportunity with an
international manufacturing leader. Position is located in St. Louis,
MO - relocation included. Salary ranges up to $130k + bonus -
excellent benefits.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with assigned corporate executive sponsor to ensure appropriate
IT strategy is in place to support respective business objectives
(e.g. software standards, data standards, delivery models, shared
services, etc.)
· Assist in development of overall application roadmap
· Lead development of application architecture for relevant software
solutions (i.e. Oracle and others)
· Participate as an extended member of group/division Oracle project
teams with the following responsibilities (level of participation to
be determined by project size and risk factors)
o During Gap Analysis phase identify known product gaps and solutions
previously developed by other project teams
o During Design phase validate standards compliance, work with team to
resolve key software issues, and facilitate interaction with Oracle
Development when escalation is required
o During Build through Go-Live stages of the project continue to
support project team with trouble shooting and issue resolution
o Ensure standards compliance
· Co-chair relevant Oracle Application Competency Centers
o Lead development of application data and setup standards
o Facilitate prioritization of enhancement requests for Oracle
o Act as the primary point of contact for Emerson with software
vendors (e.g. Oracle)
o Participate on vendor Advisory Boards
EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 10+ years of experience working in procurement
· Minimum 5+ years implementing ERP packaged software with at least 3
of those years working on Oracle and/or I2
