Description:
Be a member of a dynamic team that is vital to Yahoo!, including our
leading Web Search engine. You will develop, run, and monitor tools for
large-scale search
clusters located around the world, using primarily Linux. This position is
full-time, located in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities:
* Administer Linux clusters, monitor their health and performance
* Develop and maintain in-house automation for world-wide cluster
operations
* Coordinate and execute changes to live cluster software and
configurations
* Diagnose and repair production clusters
* Participate in the on-call pager rotation
* Collaborate in the design of cluster configurations with developers
* Work closely with other system administrator and network teams


Required skills:
* 5+ years experience with Linux/Unix
* Strong Perl scripting skills
* BS Computer Science and/or strong System Administration background.


Desired skills:
Experience administering large Linux installations in a tier 1 environment
