We’re looking for an experienced, energetic Project Manager to join
our team in Fredericton. You will manage client expectations and relay
project related information to a team of designers and developers to
ensure objectives are met. Specifically this includes:
Reviewing, understanding, and managing the contract;
Preparing project plans that will deliver contract requirements;
Assembling resources required to execute project plans;
Coordinating, planning, and scheduling production resources, and
deliverables;
Scheduling project kick-off meetings;
Providing updates regularly, including written status reports,
noting that any deviations from project plan must be explained
(estimate of accomplishments to date, problems to date, estimates to
complete, whether the milestones are going to be achieved or not,
etc);
Monitoring project progress and reviewing status provided by project
team members;
Keeping client informed of project status;
Negotiating changes and change orders when necessary;
Using formal methodology, procedural knowledge, and budget
management experience to ensure projects are completed on time and
within budget;
Overall quality control of client deliverables; and
Other related duties as required.
As the ideal candidate, you have:
A Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field;
PM certification from a recognized institution is a definite asset;
5+ years experience in production/project management;
Experience working in an e-Learning environment (definite asset);
An awareness of industry tools and technologies (e.g., Web-based
learning design, EPSS, synchronous and asynchronous tools,
collaborative learning technologies, etc.);
Proactive problem-solving skills;
Keen eye for detail and quality-orientation; and
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
