Requirment for a Build Engineer with Configuration tools exp

Location:Columbus,Ohio

Duration: 18 months

Rate: Negotiable

Build Engineer improve the existing build process, release management (and deployment) process and configuration management process.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of successfully implementing software configuration management tools and processes for multiple concurrent projects, and of building and deploying mission critical software releases in a service-oriented architecture.

The ideal candidate should have the following skill set:




COMPETENCIES:



· Minimum of 3 years professional experience in software and systems engineering utilizing object oriented methodologies to deploy software applications in complex end user environments.

· Minimum of 2 years experience building software application solutions on the .Net Framework using C#, ASP.Net, and ADO.Net with the ability to analyze code issues.

· Minimum of 2 years in .Net solution project, versioning and code organization in order to automate the build process using nAnt, MSBuild.

· Experience coding to Visual SourceSafe (VSS) API or other ASP managed Batch builds.

· Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Team System 2005 and Visual SourceSafe 2005 is highly preferred.

· Proven experience with a disciplined approach to team-based software development, testing, version management and documentation, and audit processes.

· Good understanding of current trends, advances, and best practices in Software Configuration Management and Build/Install/Release Management tools.

· Experience with other SCM tools (e.g. PVCS, ClearCase) is a plus.
