I am looking to fill a SQL Server 2005 Database Administration
position, and this individual will have an opportunity to help build a
data warehouse from scratch by the end of the year as well as
implement clustering down the road. I need someone who is hungry,
bright, aggressive, but doesn't have an inflated sense of themselves.
It is a financial services firm downtown Chicago that has existed for
almost 20 years.
Here are a few key points that they are looking for:
· Clustering
· File Groupings
· Transactional Log Shipping
· Report Services Configuration/Administration
Strategy with regard to file grouping and log shipping is a "bread and
butter item" so if this person is worth their salt, they should be
able to speak about those 2 at length. The current environment is 60%
SQL Server 2000, 40% SQL Server 2005. It is NOT a 24x7 environment!
If you or someone you know would benefit by learning more about the
opportunity, please forward your contact information to
