Position Title: SQL Server Database Specialist
Location: Lansing, MI

Essential Functions: Manage mid to large SQL Server Database
environment. To perform primary support functions, including database
design, maintenance, security, application of database concepts,
systems development and tools. Possess the skills to support all
aspects of SQL Server administration. Create logical database designs
and translate into their physical database descriptions. Create and
modify database files and individual user views.

Required Qualifications: Two to four years experience administrating
Microsoft SQL Server databases (2005/2008). Current knowledge of
computer database concepts and administration, hardware, operating
systems, system software, program language(s) and tools, and testing
techniques and tools. Ability to communicate verbally and in written
form in a clear and concise manner. Strong analytical skills and
troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in
computer science, computer information systems or data processing.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Be available to
take calls and complete work outside of standard working hours.
