SQL Server Developer/DBA - ETL, Reports - Downtown Denver

Blue Line Talent is looking for a high performing SQL Programmer who
also has HTML programming experience, can create batch files and
scripts to import and export data using SQL and CSV files to and from
SQL-based applications. This is a direct hire opportunity in the Oil
& Gas industry. Experience with SQL Server DBA support and report
development is beneficial.

Posting Title: SQL Server Programmer - Imports/Exports, DBA &
Reporting support

Work Location: Denver area

Position Details:
• The SQL programmer to create SQL batch files, scripts and queries to
import and export and data using SQL and CSV files to and from SQL
based applications.
• Support varied and complex needs in the design, coding, systems
analysis, quality assurance, benchmark testing, debugging and
documentation of applications programs.
• Applications generally deal with utility programs, position control
language, macros, subroutines, and other control modules.
• Provide SQL Server database administration support
• Develop reports, and provide support for, the end-user community
• May customize purchased applications and assist in maintaining
program libraries and technical manuals.
• Based on experience, the SQL programmer could also contribute to/
support database administration, network and/or systems administration
• Document designs and configurations
• Task profile: 1/3 programming, 1/3 DBA, 1/3 supporting and working
with end users and supporting their reporting needs.

Experience Profile:
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology and 5+ years of
applicable work experience
• Experience with data imports and exports
• Understanding of ETL techniques and best practices
• Strong experience writing SQL batch files, SQL scripts, SQL queries
• Proficient experience with SQL Server 2008 (some DBA experience is
helpful)
• Strong skills developing reports for users from SQL Server data
environment
• Ability to provide technical training to end users
• Stable record of direct employment

Helpful/Preferred:
• DBA experience on SQL Server 2008 including database security
• Experience with daily database operations of SQL Server dbms
including security, backups, log truncation, etc.
• Experience in programming in HTML
• Experience with Oil and Gas software applications and support, such
as Excalibur, Aries, Wellview and Merrick
• General IT support, problem resolution, and LAN/WAN experience
required.
• Microsoft MCP, MCSE certification
