Senior Project Manager

Our Moncton client is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for
this 12 month contract opportunity. Please apply before Sunday January
13th to be eligible for consideration.
Additionally:
All work will need to be done on client site (New Brunswick) so ensure
your rate (per diem) is inclusive of travel and living.

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, the Project
Manager is accountable for the planning and the successful, efficient
delivery of business driven projects. He/She must ensure projects are
delivered on time, on budget, and on track for meeting the expected
benefits. The project manager is required to make rational decisions
related to resource management, communication management, and overall
delivery.

Core Responsibilities:
- Defines the delivery strategy for Projects assigned using the
defined processes, procedures and templates. Makes use of tools
mentioned by the approved procedures.
- Supports the development of project Business Cases aligning to key
business drivers. Support activities include: facilitating project
risk workshops; facilitation of estimation activities for project
deliverables; scope management; cost management; and general
consulting with all stakeholders. Must also monitor and report on
project impacts on business performance indices as defined in the
corporate scorecard.
- Manages the effective delivery of projects assigned, using defined
methodologies and standards, including all phases of the planning and
development cycle and quality of solutions delivered to the
Corporation.
- Provides formalized, continuing work direction, coaching and
leadership to individual project team members, including the
scheduling, assignment, and review of project work.
- Supports development of SOW's (Statements of Work) with external
service providers regarding short-term deliverables and solutions.
Monitors vendor delivery to the signed SOW working with the vendor to
assist in the successful execution of the Statement of Work.
- Assists in the development, implementation and successful execution
of project management and
solution delivery methodologies, processes and procedures to improve
the overall professionalism as it relates to project delivery,
quality, and efficiency.
- Ensures projects are executed with established methodologies /
protocols / standards and that expected benefits, are realized.
- Manages and controls the execution of all assigned projects against
the project plan, requirements, quality measures, standards, processes
and milestones, resolves problems and issues in a timely manner.
- Assists in the identification and development of resource plans for
each project, including skills and training requirements. Negotiates
with management teams for appropriate project resources.

Key Assets and Competencies:
- Bachelor Degree Business Administration.
- Relevant university degree and 6-8 years of progressive project
management experience including minimum of 3 years project management
experience with an emphasis on managing projects or team leaders and
processes.
- Strong (developing) project management skills -organization,
scheduling, problem solving, communication and presentation skills;
including MS Project and Enterprise Project Server.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to
articulate and facilitate key project processes procedures and best
practices.
- Ability to document issues, risks, alternatives, and recommendations
in an effective manner suitable for executive consumption.
- Ability to listen to input of others, values outside perspectives
that may be different or unique from their own expertise, and build
collaborative and trusted stakeholder relationships before finalizing
plans while continuously seeking feedback.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to resolve and manage conflict.
- Sound business acumen.
