Our client is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our
development team as a Software Developer Tester. This is a unique
position where the candidate will be able to help increase the quality
of the software by exercising white box testing and writing code to
test the code.

The client uses a software management process (Scrum) that uses an
iterative lifecycle and that focuses on communication, particularly
feedback loops. Each iteration, called a Sprint, lasts about four
weeks. A Sprint is a block of time in which development of software is
completed and, at the end of each Sprint, a complete vertical slice of
the application is delivered. The candidate will work directly with
the development team during the Sprint to understand the modification
done to the code and determine the tests that need to be performed to
ensure the completeness of the features developed. The candidate will
be able to use his/her blend of development and testing skills to
ensure top level quality product.


Responsibilities:
- Understand the impact of code modifications
- Write system and automated test to ensure top quality of the
software
- Perform manual and usability testing
- Find bugs in software and report them to the developers
- Decide what to test although the product is still unfinished
- Seek product information individually through testing, and work with
other team members to figure out what to test
- Share your testing knowledge with the developers to raise the
quality of the produced functionalities

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the computer industry
- Minimum of 2 years experience with C#, Java or C++
- Strong passion for quality software

Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and desire to learn
- Strong oral and written communication skills

Desirable:
- Experience with a unit test framework and code coverage tool
- Working knowledge of SqlServer, MySql, or PostgreSQL
- Understanding of the Agile methodologies goals
- Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (VmWare, Xen, Hyper-V, ...)
