Sr QA Engineer - RI 3m contract2perm.Oracle-Java-POS systems-local people preferred
POSITION SUMMARY:
Work w/ SQA team supporting the product development lifecycle through design, analysis and testing.
Primary responsibility will be system load and performance testing via white-blackbox testing
test tool design and implementation.
DUTIES:
Develop and execute automated & manual performance and load test plans, suites & bespoke QA test tools.
Analyze, document, and verify system change requests (defects, enhancements, new features).
Collaborate with the Product Management and Development staff to derive load test design and specifications.
Perform data validation against Oracle database. Prepare detailed load test reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years exp. creating complete system load testing suites on a web-based or client/server product.
2+ years programming exp. with JAVA and load test languages.
AutomatedQA or TestComplete experience is a plus.
3+ years experience testing web or client/server software products.
Experience working on a 24/7 web-based service offering is a strong plus.
Strong knowledge of QA process and methodologies. Ability to create clear, concise defect submissions.
Ability to troubleshoot software defects and identify root cause.
Experience with Retail Point-Of-Sale systems a plus with HTML/RDBMS/SQL (Oracle is a plus).
Experience with change control and version control software
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 2+ years SQA experience. 4 year degree.
