Duration: 1.5 years
Responsibilities may include:
Providing day-to-day computer operations;
Providing configuration of system hardware;
Providing installation, patching and configuration of system software;
Providing system performance monitoring and performance tuning;
Managing user accounts and file systems;
Providing set-up and administration of backup and recovery procedures;
Providing management and administration to the networking functions of
the
Windows servers;
Providing expertise to users in the effective utilization of
client/server
based applications software;
Providing technical support to client community and Functional Unit team
members;
Providing on-call support for the Windows Server environment on a
rotational basis;
Assisting in evaluating and testing client/server products and utility
software that interfaces with the applications in the Windows Server
environment; analyzing the impact on those applications, and
recommending
a plan of action including determining the costs and benefits of the
recommendations; and
Documenting processes and procedures related to operations, software
installation and usage.
The Windows Server Systems Analyst will also be responsible for
assisting
in setting up Windows Server environments for any future client/server
applications for the department, and be responsible for the daily
operations of those systems.
the Windows Server Systems Analyst will assist in daily operational
problem resolution and support, research into evolving technologies, and
implementation.
