Sr. QA Engineer - DB2 Performance
TORONTO, CANADA
Position:
The successful candidate will possess DB2 skills and the dedication to
quality to meet or exceed customer expectations, perseverance to complete
assignments in the face of challenges or setbacks, motivation to learn and
should thrive in start-up environments and be able to work with minimal
supervision.

Responsibilities:
· Work closely with software developers to define performance
test requirements and describe and isolate software defects

· Collect performance metrics. Analyze performance test results
and tune Database servers for performance as and when required

· Prepare input data files as required to support test
procedures

· Analyze test problems/failures

· Report product defects

· Review Product Documentation

Requirements:
· 5-7years of QA Experience and minimum 2 to 3 years experience
with DB2 programming experience (SQL, DB2 API, DB2 SQLJ)

· 2+ years white box testing preferably in the area of
enterprise applications and distributed systems environments.

· DB2 backend skills, ability to create database load scripts
and set-up development databases.

· Solid experience gray or white box testing data warehouses and
database applications in an Enterprise environment

· Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies, procedures,
and qa documentation.

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

· Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
