Description: HARDWARE ENGINEER
Product Development


U.S Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.


Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assume technical responsibilities in the development and transitioning of instrumentation to commercial systems. Duties will include assuming lead and/or working as part of a multi-disciplinary team for various development projects, system and sub-system level design and testing, report generation, and customer support.


Qualifications:
At a minimum candidate will have a proven track record in electronic design including experience with embedded systems (firmware, FPGA development, micro-controllers, state machines, DSPs), and analog and digital design.
Proficiency in VHDL and/or Verilog programming languages is required.
Experience with Xilinx or Altera devices, and Synplify, ModelSIM, and other FPGA development tools.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience using test equipment and current prototyping techniques a must.
Experience with state-of-the-art rapid prototyping tools.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages in embedded and PC environments.

Occasional travel is required.

B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience is desired. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical innovation, initiative, and hands-on skills. A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team is required. Strong problem solving skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to represent the company in a positive manner are a must.
