Description: Description I.POSITION SUMMARY The Recruiter will facilitate the recruiting, interviewing and hiring process for assigned departments. This individual will provide guidance and direction to assigned hiring managers and Human Resources team members on recruiting issues to ensure the consistent application of policies in compliance with legal requirements and QVC practice. This individual will also perform duties with latitude for independent judgment according to company policies and procedures. The employee will have the authority to approve hiring decisions of client group as well as partnering with compensation to approve salaries for candidates. Also has the authority to approve advertising campaigns. II.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a variety of functions supporting the recruitment of quality candidates to fill a variety of positions, including but not limited to, non-exempt, seasonal, up to and including management level employees. Responsible for recruiting efforts including: Sourcing, screening, and interviewing potential candidates, . Interacts with hiring managers and regarding all openings and qualified candidates . Negotiates salaries and recommends internal and external candidates Develop recruitment plans to meet the needs of the clients to include recommending sourcing avenues such as Internet use, newspaper or trade journal advertisements, employee referrals, and networking, while meeting time to fill and cost hire per measures . Conducts orientation programs for new hires as required. Provides candidates with information regarding compensation, benefits and company policies. Develop and implement college relations program. This includes full-time entry level recruitment and internship/co-ops in multiple departments. Establish and maintain contacts with various colleges and related organizations. Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed so employee records can be efficiently processed for new hires, including drug-screening process and background investigations where appropriate. Manage relationships with third party recruiting agencies to ensure compliance with QVC recruiting policies and processes. Responsible for other recruiting-related projects as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements IV. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE (Special skills, knowledge of machines, procedures, etc.) Working knowledge of assigned departments Excellent interviewing skills Working knowledge of employment laws Thorough knowledge of QVC compensation and benefit program Highly proficient with PC (Microsoft Office) and Internet search functions Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize Strong customer service and telephone skills V. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent training and experience Experience: 1 to 3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a past paced recruiting environment VI.JOB REQUIREMENTS (As required by the Americans with Disabilities Act) Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest degree of professionalism Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to comprehend complex information Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to comprehend and apply employment laws Ability to access and enter information using a computer system Ability to travel frequently Maintain attendance as defined by company policy
