VB Developer

Logic 2000 Inc. is an Ottawa-based IT Professional Services firm,
which has been providing quality solutions in the National Capital
Region since 1985 to both Government and Private Sector clients with
highly specialized resources.

KNOWLEDGE
• VB 6, VB.Net, SQL, MS Access 2003 or higher, HTML
• Thorough knowledge of client/server development tools and techniques
is essential;
• Thorough knowledge of the Windows XP/2000/2003 environment is
essential;
• Knowledge of the CMHC business environment will be an asset;
• Knowledge of CMHC's financial systems will be an asset;
• Working knowledge of Windows batch command files, Perl, Java, C++,
Crystal Reports, HTML, XML, Excel and Lotus 1-2-3 will be an asset.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 5-8 years experience in progressively responsible positions in IT;
• 5 years experience coding in VB 6 and 1 year in VB.Net;
• 5 years experience in coding Transact SQL to access MS SQL Server;
• 5 years experience with T-SQL stored procedures;
• 3 years experience in MS Access 2003 or higher;
• Good analytical and technical skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills;
• Experience working in a high pressure situation;
• Experience interacting with users to obtain user requirements;
• Experience in the preparation of test plans, test data and system
testing;
• Experience preparing technical documentation;
• Experience working in a team environment;
• Familiarity with application development lifecycle;
