Precision Recruiting is currently engaged with this company to attract
a Verification Manager for the team in the Ottawa, Ontario office.

What you will do:

This position exists to support the delivery of major components into
a product development program.
A Verification Manager is responsible for providing strategy, planning
and execution of integration and verification test cases including HW,
SW and an EMS while ensuring high quality communication of technical
information between the global teams. Finding and confirming the
removal of defects early is the key deliverable in preparation for an
aggressive system verification cycle. Participation in all aspects of
delivery is required from inception to delivery.

Daily interfacing with the end customer and supplier is required and
strong communication skills are a must.

The Verification Manager works closely with the 3rd party Verification
Manager, Software Manager, and Systems Teams and Team Leaders to
support high-quality estimation, planning, progress tracking and
reporting, schedule commitment and adherence, risk management within
the team. Ability to work well and drive progress with 3rd parties and
remote teams will be essential. The ability to travel for extended
periods is required to support these activities.

What is needed to succeed?

At least 10 years industry experience as a manager of a verification
team, of which a minimum of 3 should be in a telecoms-related
environment in a verification and integration role.
Technical experience in DATA (Ethernet, MPLS, QoS), testing is a
requirement.
Strong inter-personal skills
Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
Strong track record as a successful goal-oriented team player and as
an individual contributor must be demonstrated.
Degree in Computer Science, or relevant engineering discipline.

Experience of working in India
Experience of working in or leading large-scale embedded software
verification activities.
Customer interaction experience.
