Engineer - Microsoft Systems Management Server and Operations Manager
My client is adding a Microsoft SMS and MOM Engineer to their team.
My client has built a team of certified consultants who have expertise implementing Microsofts solution set for Core Infrastructure, Communications and Collaboration, Security and Information Worker Solutions.
As a part of the Microsoft team, you are in the middle of the action creating technical solutions, impacting business growth and supporting our sales team.

Responsibilities:
The incumbent of this position will:
Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of large-scale enterprise server design as well as complex system deployments and migration planning projects using Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)
This includes:
o Following life-cycle oriented processes and procedures
o Implementing test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans
o Network and application troubleshooting
Prepare design documents and presentations. Clearly describes the design, including rationale for decisions and implications of decisions
Deliver high-quality solutions to our customers to ensure their investment in technology is consistent with their business objectives.
Provide in-depth technical expertise on large-scale infrastructure projects for enterprise-class clients
Assess and recommend architectural designs/changes to customer systems in response to business or technical drivers
Deliver project responsibilities inline with project plan
Contribute to product development and written proposals
Build relationships with customers to determine business requirements that will drive web site planning
Work in a team environment
Qualifications:
Three years experience delivering complex technical solutions including planning, development, implementation and support experience
Consulting experience preferred
MCSE 2003 certification preferred
Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience
Technical Proficiency in Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) with experience in managing large environments
Broad understanding of an array of technologies and their use, such as:
o Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SMS, SQL Server, SharePoint, Exchange Hosted Services, MOM, ISA, and SUS
o Current and pending Microsoft Windows operating systems and other operating system knowledge
Experience with Novell to Microsoft migrations
Experience owning some significant aspect of the product/application design and implementation
A professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners and peers
Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
This position may require the ability to travel average of 50%
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills including demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
