Archived from groups: memphis>employment (more info?)

Hello my name is Patrick and I was recently in my opinion unfairly
terminated from FedEx, I did everything in my power to save my job and
while working at FedEx I was one of the top performers in my
department but it did not make any difference to them. I had been to
my managers on many occations to tell them of my problem and they did
nothing to fix it and in fact laughed at the incident. And now as to
add insult to injury they are trying to stop me from getting
unemployment and I am in jeopardy of loosing my home. I have contacted
a lawyer to start a lawsuit against FedEx but as you all know it is
expensive to fight big business. While working at FedEx I saw many
people who were terminated for unfair reasons, on several occasions
people were told that they had to take a position at a site over 1500
miles from where they currently lived or not have a job and when they
did not accept the relocation they were let go. The whole purpose for
these actions by FedEx I believe was to get rid of people that were
making more than they would have to pay in locations other than
Silicon Valley. I believe that there are more people out there that
would like to go against FedEx for what they have done to them, or
people that would just like to help fight big business's practice of
stepping on the little people. If you would like to help in this case,
if you would like to help me, or if you would like your name attached
to a possible lawsuit to stop FedEx from these practices I need
donations. Help me stop FedEx, help me make a difference. And if you
are currently using FedEx for sending express packages stop and send
by some other means. Lets teach them a lesson.

If you wish to donate send your donations to

Big business should not be allowed to continue.

Patrick I am so sorry that this has happened to you. Something similar
happened to me working for Nissan. You talked about an incident that
occured.and you feel like you were treated unfairly, or at least in
your mind , a lot of grandiosity which probably made you feel as though
you were intitled. I can only be responsible for my behavior and no one
elses. I felt the same way when I had to leave Nissan. I wanted to make
a statement, I really felt that out of the 4000 people who work there,
that I was special. Some how the rules didn't apply to me as they did
to everyone else. It took a little while but I got over it as soon as
I was able to see that some choices that I had made were bad ones. The
real reason that I was feeling so angry was because I was scared of
what my immediate future held. I cannot control everything, but I can
make a choice to move on and to do it with some dignity. You will be
o.k. if you decide to do the next" right thing " , and to do it for
yourself. Get passed all of this resentment and put your experience to
work somewhere else.
